Preparation for Anushka Sharma’s engagement was under way for the last few days, and all the eyes were set on the special event. Finally, the wait and curiosity ended this Sunday with the engagement ceremony taking place.
No! We are not talking about her real life engagement, but reel one. Actually, the engagement ceremony was for her upcoming movie, “Phillaur.” The grand celebration of her engagement was filmed in a hotel in Patiala, Punjab. To give the scene a royal touch, Anushka was dressed in a golden-coloured lehanga (bridal wear) where she has to put an engagement ring into her on-screen husband Suraj Sharma’s finger. The actress was looking like a real princess in the glittering bridal wear.
According to the sources, the wedding ceremony of Anushka Sharma and Suraj Sharma will be shot in three to four days.
Phillaur is produced by Anushka Sharma and has Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma of the Life of Pi fame in lead roles alongside her.
We all have appreciated the new look of Salman as a wrestler in the forthcoming film “Sultan,” looking at the film’s poster. The poster also fanned our interest in the film’s trailer. Of course, the filmmaker did provide us some relief through a teaser, but that didn’t suffice to rein in our excitement of watching the superstar in a wrestler’s role.
Thanks to Yash Raj Films for releasing the official trailer of “Sultan” yesterday, Tuesday, 24 May, 2016 and providing us a breather. As expected, the trailer looks very impressive. It starts with a quote that says, “Wrestling is not a sport, it’s about fighting what lies within.” The camera then pans across a wresting ground surrounded by audience cheering for Sultan. Salman makes an entry with nothing on his body, but a truss (a langot), and throws his opponent to the ground. He then sees Anushka Sharma, who is playing Aarfa, and is shown wrestling with a male wrestler. Salman falls for her as he feels that their pairing can work as both are wrestlers. He also tries to impress her with his Haryanvi-American accent.
Overall, the 3-minute trailer showcases Salman’s ambition to win a gold medal in wrestling for the country, but due to some odd reasons has to give up the sport. Then, circumstances make him pick the sport again. But the selectors are skeptical about him as he has caught up age and is flashing a pot belly.
The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Yash Raj Films. It is expected to hit the screens all over the world this July on the occasion of Eid.
The Kapil Sharma show has started with a decent note with Shah Rukh Khan as the first guest. It has caught the fancy of people and is garnering impressive TRP. With its TRP scaling slowly, it has become an ideal platform for filmmakers to promote their films.
In a recent episode of the show, the entire cast of “Housefull 3” had the audience split their sides with laughter. The stage literally became an arena of crazy gags. The three leading actors of the movie made a grand entry into the show recreating the popular song ‘Yeh Dosit Hum Nahin Todenge’ on a bike from the iconic movie, “Sholay.” Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bacchan, Chunkey Pandey, and Jackie Shroff enjoyed every single moment on the show.
Not only on the show, there were reports that all the actors had a great fun when shooting for the show. Akshay also showed a glimpse of his character from the movie in which he is playing a person affected with multiple personality disorder. He asked a person from the audience to come on the stage and while holding his hand, took off his wrist watch without the latter knowing it. Such was the fun on the stage that he shared his experience on Twitter in this way: “#Housefull3 gang on the sets of #TheKapilSharmaShow today! Always a fun time with this bunch of loonies.”
If you have missed the episode, here is the video to catch all the fun:
Amrita Roa is one of the actresses of Bollywood who has maintained her image, and not took to skin show for gaining fame and popularity. She became a household name, especially in the North of India with her performance in the family drama ‘Vivaah.’ She is not seen in movies after 2013, but is playing a leading role in a popular serial on television.
The 34-year actress tied the knot with her boyfriend Anmol, who is an RJ on Radio Mirchi, on May 15. The wedding ceremony was a hush-hush affair with only immediate family members of the bride and groom and close friends. Though the rumours of Amrita’s engagement with Anmol caught attention of her fans last year, she never came forward and spoke openly about her life. But this time, the lovebirds decided to settle down and took the plunge, giving a shape to their 7-year long relationship.
Hindilyrics.net offers heartiest congratulations to the couple on their marriage.
Releasing a movie teaser on the social media has been a trend movie industry the world-over is following. It is a nice way to make people wanting to watch the movie when released. Filmmakers know that viewers decide to go for the movie only after watching the teaser, hence, they put in equal efforts in their making. However, when teasers of two different movies, each belonging to a superstar, are launched, the number race (in terms of views) begins.
The same thing has happened with Ranjikanth’s “Kabali” and Salman Khan’s “Sultan” teasers. Since both the superstars have a huge fan following, there was a buzz about whose one is going to receive the highest number of views. And the outcome was quite surprising as Kabali’s teaser has crossed the number of Sultan’s teaser. Not only that, it has also become the highest watched teaser ever by breaking the previous record of 17 million views held by Aamir’s “Dhoom 3.” It has been received 17.1 million views, whereas Sultan’s teaser has had 17 million views, since its release on May 1.
With so many views, it is given that Kabali will definitely do better at the box office. Even the distribution rights of the movie are selling at a hefty price. Pa Ranjith is the director of Kabali. The movie is all set to hit the theaters on July 1.
Everyone has one or another view and something to say on the ongoing controversy between Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut. The media is also adding fuel to the war by seeking comments from Bollywood celebrities. While the Bollywood peers may have nothing to do with the squabble about who is right and who is wrong, they don’t shy away from expressing their views.
When asked at the event of music launch of “Housefull 3” in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar said, “The matter (between Hrithik and Kangana) has to be sorted out as soon as possible, and the media should understand the seriousness of the issues rather than rejoicing in it.” Though all the casts of the movie were present, they evaded the question and had loads of fun and frolic.
Thankfully, AkshayKumar took out some time and threw some sensible comment on Kangana-Hrithik controversy. Hope, the media doesn’t add more oil to the fire after the Khiladi Kumar’s view.

April 30, 2016 is no ordinary date for Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover. It is this date on which the two lovebirds performed all the religious rituals, bid adieu to bachelorhood, and entered into a married life. The wedding was carried out in traditional Bengali style and was attended by close friends and relatives. Late in the evening on the same day, the two souls threw a reception party in a five star hotel in suburban Mumbai.
The party was graced by all the A-grade actors from Bollywood. Few of the prominent faces that came to wish the couples on their marriage were Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Salman Khan among others.
When interacting with the media, Salman said, the pair is very good and I hope they are together for a long time, and that is important. And when asked about his marriage plans, Bipasha Basu interrupted and said, “I don’t want Salman to get married. Salman should be nice to all the girls in the world. It is his wish if he wants to get married or not, but he should just be happy.”
