Aadesh Shrivastava is one of the popular music directors of Bollywood. He is best known for his fresh and youthful compositions from films like Bas Itna Sa Khaab Hai, Chalte Chalte and Baghban. Along with song composition, he also had given background music for many films. However, he also had sung many of his own compositions.

Aadesh Shrivastava, who also known with his first name Aadesh was wanted to be a doctor, but he also had strong inclination towards music. His strong passion for music led him to become a composer. Aadesh is a good drum player. Aadesh moved to Mumbai to try his hand in Bollywood. In initial days he played drum for many famous music directors like Shankar-Jaikishen, Nayyar and Salil Choudhary. He had also assisted the duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal for about ten years.

Aadesh turned as an independent composer in 1993 with the film Kanyadaan. He was so lucky that, his very first song was sung by the veteran Lata Mangeshkar. But the movie never gets released. The same history followed for his following film called Jaane Tamanna. But Aadesh came to recognition with the film Aao Pyaar Kare. Songs from the film 'Haathon Mein Aa Gaya Jo Kal' and 'Chaand Se Parda Kijiye' gave him wide recognition as a music composer. Followed by it he did films like Shastra and Salma Pe Dil Aa Gaya. A song 'Kya Ada Kya Jalwe Tere Paro' from film Shastra was a major hit. In 1998, he composed music for Angaarey, which was again a hit music.

Aadesh Shrivastava Biography In 2000, he successfully composed music for films- Tarkeeb, Shikari and Kunwara. A song 'Kiska Chehra Ab Main Dekhu Tera Chehra Dekh Kar' from Tarkeeb is one of his greatest compositions. His successful run continued in 2001 with the Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachcan starrer film Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai. In this film, he had given the fresh and youthful songs like 'Kuchh Aisa Jahaan Hum Banaaye' and 'Yeh Hawaayein Julfon Mein Teri'. He created the same kind of fresh appeal in films like Chalte Chalte (2003) and Baghban (2003). Songs like 'Meri Makhna', 'Chali Chali' and 'Main Yahaan Tu Kahaan' from Baghban and 'Gumshuda', 'Suno Na Suno Na', 'Tauba Tumhaare Yeh Ishaare' from Chalte Chalte were huge hits.

Aadesh's other well known movies include Major Saab (1998), Dahek: A Burning Passion (1998), International Khiladi (1999), Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999), Joru Ka Ghulam (2000), Refugee (2000), Deewaanapan (2001), Humraaz (2002), Kuch Naa Kaho (2003) and Paheli (2005) . Aadesh had recently composed music for films Rehguzar (2006), Saawan: The Love Season (2006), Alag (2006), Baabul (2006) and Mummy Ji (2007).

Apart from film music, Aadesh also had done an album 'Dil Kahin Hosh Kahin' with the three veteran singers Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh, and Asha Bhosle. He recently appeared as a judge to Zee TV's popular singing show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005'. Followed by it, he is also judging Star TV's another singing talent show 'STAR Voice of India 2007'. Aadesh also participated as a contestant in Sony TV's celebrity dance competition show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa- Part 2'.
