Adnan Sami is a popular singer, composer and a concert pianist. Also he is ready to try his hand in acting. Adnan is a winner of many International awards. A famous American magazine 'Keyboard Magazine' declared him as the Keyboard Discovery of The 90s. While a Swedish Radio and Television Broadcasting referred him as 'the fastest piano player in the world'. Adnan's music has a blend of Indian and Western style. He had successfully composed songs in modern pop-rock, jazz and classical style.
Adnan Sami born in Britain to Pakistani father Arshad Sami Khan and Indian mother Naureen. His father was a Pakistani diplomat. Sami grown up and also did his school and college from UK. Adnan attended the prestigious public school Rugby School. He earned degree from the University of London. Now Adnan's parents and younger brother resides in Houston, Texas. While Adnan moved from Pakistan to India. Adnan switched his nationality to the Indian nationality.
Adnan started to learn piano since his school days. He has one class for music in his school. From the age of seven Adnan playing piano like a professional pianist. When Adnan was just 10 years old, the legendary singer Asha Bhosle spotted his talent at a R D Burman concert in London. Ashaji encouraged him to take music as a career.
Adnan learnt Indian classical music under the guidance of Mahraj Khatak. Later he studied classical music from Santoor maestro, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma. Adnan became the first person to play Indian classical music on piano and electric piano.
Along with playback singing Adnan also had released his solo albums. Every album of him has been received very well. He had many hits from his non-film albums. He is a active performer also. Whether it is stage show or his music videos his energy had mesmerized everyone. Sami also had done solo concerts worldwide covering around forty countries. He also has performed at the prestigious music festivals.
Adnan has rewarded with a Special Award of UNICEF as well as with a United Nations Peace Medal for a song he had written and performed for Africa. He was also selected as a jury member for 'Voice of Asia' competition at Almaty, Kazhakstan. All other jury members were the top music composers from the world.
Adnan Sami was also included in a documentary which was done by the Foreign and Common Wealth Office of Great Britain. The documentary was made with ten famous people from the sub-continent of India and Pakistan, for effectively delivering Asian culture in the UK over the last fifty years.
