Anand Raj Anand is one of the all rounder in music. He is a composer, singer and lyricist as well. He has a passion for music since his childhood. From school days, Anand Raj Anand started performing on stage. During his school days he was part of a music group. Anand won many local competitions along with his group. Anand Raj Anand was used to sing his own compositions rather than the movie songs.
Anand Raj Anand had done diploma in civil engineering. His family was into the business of Jewellery. But instead of choosing engineering or Jewellery business, Anand decided to go with music. With the dream of pursuing career in music Anand left Delhi to Mumbai.
In Mumbai he started struggling to get a break. He met many film makers and composers in his initial days. But nobody was interested in a multi-skilled person with writing, composing and singing skills. Some people advised him to take either composing or singing as his career. So Anad Raj Anand decided that he will work as a composer.
Finally, he recorded seven songs with Pravin Shah of Times Music. A well known Marathi film director Mahesh Kothare gets impressed by his work. Kothare used three out of these seven songs in his Hindi film titled 'Masoom'. A song 'Chota Bacha Samajhke Humko' become a hit at that time. To compose this song, Anand Raj Anand had taken just few minutes.
Anand started well and then after he didn't look back. Next he went on to give beautiful music in films like Border, Koi Kisi Se Kum Nahin, Aakrosh, Major Saab, Bandhan, Kaante, Qila, Pardesi Babu, Bichhoo, Hadh Kar Di Aapne, Ek Hindustani, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai and many more.
We will soon listen his music in forthcoming films Dus Kahaniyaan, Khabar, Welcome, Jimmy, Kahin Aag Na Lag Jaaye and Beach. Now he is one of the prominent singer, composer and lyricist in Bollywood.
