Anushka Manchanda is an Indian playback singer and was born on 11th February, 1985 in Delhi. She surged on the popularity chart when she became the winner of the Indian television talent show, Coke 5 Popstars in 2002. She was also a part of the first ever Indian girl band called Viva.
However, due to creative differences the band had to be broken and later she joined as a VJ (Video Jockey) with Channel (V) but only for a short duration of time.
Anushka Manchanda after separating from the band and Channel (V), joined Tamil Film Industry and sang a song called 'Oh Mahiree' from the movie 'Manmadhan'. The song came in 2004 and the music was composed by one of the noted musicians of the Tamil industry, Yuvan Shankar Raja. The song was a success.
Later also she worked with him and created magic with popular songs like 'Thee Piddika' (Arintham Ariyamalaum), 'Kudakooli' (Kalvanin Kadhali), 'Money Money' (Thimiru) and 'Oh Oh Ennanamo' ( Chennai 600028).
Her big bollywood break came in 2006 when she crooned for Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal'. The song was the title song and was composed by the hit music director duo Vishal-Shekhar. The song was a thumping success. Since then, there has been no stopping her. The song was followed by various songs for numerous noted music composers like Anu Malik, Salim-Sulaiman, and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and of course Pritam Chakraborty.
She also made her acting debut in the flop movie 'Dulha Mil Gaya'. The role was a cameo and she sang 3 songs for the flick as well. She was also seen in a TV reality stunt show, MTV Pulsar Stunt Mania in the year 2010.
