Lara Dutta was born on 16th April 1978 in Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). She is daughter of L.K.Dutta, retired Wing Commander and Mother, Jennifer Puddi (who is British). She has two sisters from that one is in Indian Air Force. In 1981, her family shifted to Bangalore. She completed her whole education from Bangalore. Lara completed schooling from St.Francis Xavier Girl's High School and college from Bombay University which is at Bangalore. She took degree in Economics. She was winner of Miss Universe contest held in 2000. After winning this contest she was appointed as UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador in the year 2001. Lara Dutta Filmography

Lara firstly dated with famous model, Kelly Dorjee for a long time, but due to some reasons they got separated. She also dated with film actor Dino Morea who is close friend of Lara. Both of them are friends from last seventeen years. She won the competitions such as Miss Intercontinental in 1997, Femina Miss India in 2000 and Miss Universe in 2000. During these competitions Diya Mirza and Priyanka Chopra also competitors and they own Miss Asia Pacific and Miss World respectively.

Lara then moved towards film industry and performed her debut with the film "Andaaz" released in the year 2004 and directed by Raj Kanwar. In this film she performed with the actor Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. She won first Filmfare Award for Best Debut for this film. Lara then performed many films from which some of were flopped on box office and some did well. Some of her box office hit films were "Masti" released in 2004 and co-stars were Aftab Shivdasani, Vivek Oberoy and Ritesh Deshmukh, "Kaal" in 2005 with Vivek Oberoy, "No Entry" in 2005 with Anil Kapoor and the film "Partner" in 2007 with the actor Salaman Khan. Lara also performed comedy film "Bhagam Bhag" in the year 2006.
