Meenakshi Sheshadri was born on 13th November. She was winner of Miss India competition in the year 1981. After winning the contest, she moved towards films. She made her first film named "Painter Babu" in the year 1982 with the actor Rajiv Goswami. Her first super hit film was "Hero" in 1983 opposite with the actor Jacky Shroff and film was directed by Subhash Ghai. Some of her hit films were "Meri Jung" released in 1985, "Vijay" in the year 1988, "Shahenshah" in 1988, "Ghayal" in 1990 and the film "Damini" released in the year 1993.

Rajkumar Santoshi, film Director emotionally involved with Meenakshi but she rejected the marriage offer given by him. Meenakshi performed many bold roles in the films such as "Painter Babu" in the year 1983, "Vijay" with the actor Anil Kapoor in the year 1888 etc.

She performed last film "Ghatak" in the year 1997 opposite with Sunny Deol. From the year 1997 to since she has not appeared in any film. Her career in the Bollywood only for fifteen years and within these 15 years she performed in near about 80 films. Meenakshi is a professional dancer and made her career as a dance teacher.
