Mika Singh is best known as prince of the Punjabi pop. He has a series of hit pop albums on his credit. Mika also is well known for his songs in Bollywood films. His latest song 'Mauja Hi Mauja' from film Jab We Met (2007) is running top on the charts.

Mika's real name is Amrik Singh. Mika born on 10th of June in Durgapur, West Bengal in a musical family. His father Ajmer Singh Chandan is a trained classical musician of the old school. His mother Balbir Kaur was also aware of folk music. Mika is youngest amongst his six other siblings. A famous Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi is elder brother of Mika.

Mika started learning music from his childhood. He began to play tabla at the age of eight. He started playing harmonium when he was 12 and guitar when he was 14. Mika released his debut album Sawan Mein Lag Gayee Aag in 1998, at the age of 24. Since then Mika had given several hit albums like Ishq Brandy, Something Something, Gabru, and Dunali.

Mika also had sung for some Bollywood films like Nehle Pe Dehla, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Apna Sapna Money Money, Dhol and Jab We Met. He also had hits there. His songs Dil Mein Baji Guitar, Mauja Hi Mauja, Dil Todke Na Ja and Yeh Ganpat are also making sensation with audiences.

Along with singing, Mika also had composed some songs for film Shoot Out At Lokhandwala (2007). He also had written lyrics for the same film. Mika will soon appear as an actor in film Cabaret (2007). Mika also had participated in ??? TV's celebrity dance contest show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 2 (2007)'. In the show he is paired with choreographer Tanushree Rakshit.

Controversy
Mika caught into controversy when he kissed item girl Rakhi Sawant on his own birthday party. Mika was challenged by his friends to kiss Rakhi, so he did so and which created history in Bollywood world. After the incidence Rakhi was so upset that she filed a complaint against Mika in Police Station.
