Twinkle Khanna was born on 29 December 1974 in Pune. She is a daughter of superstar, Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Khanna who is film actress. She has one sister Rinkie Khanna who is also actress. She started her career in the film industry with the film "Barasat" released in 1995. In this film she performed with Bobby Deol. She got first Filmfare Award for Best Debut. Her eye was shortly cross so she performed eye surgery and after that she got many offers. She had acted with many stars of the Bollywood like Amir Khan, Salaman Khan, Govinda and Shahrukh Khan.

Some of her films in which she performed hit roles are "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai" released in 1998 with the actor Salaman Khan, "Badashah" in 1999 with Shahrukh Khan in Baadshah (1999) and the film "Mela" released in the year 2000. She got married with film star Akshay Kumar and both of them have one son named Araav Bhatia.

After her marriage, Twinkle left the film industry and opened her own store of interior design in 2002. She is not very interested about the acting in films. She performed last film named "Love Ke Liye Kuchh Bhi Karega" released in 2001 but the film was not much hit on the box office.

Twinkle opened interior store in partnership with friend Gurlein Manchanda.in the Crawford Market, Mumbai and name of store is The White Window. For this store she won Elle Decor International Design Award. She then opened another branch of this in Mumbai. Now days she is doing interior for house of Rani Mukherjee.
